Mr. Leivera is excited to join the outstanding team at CDM! He has served in various districts as a teacher, language and literacy teacher, assistant principal, and most recently, principal in the Vista Unified School District. Mr. Leivera is highly regarded for his collaborative approach and positive relationships with students, families and staff. 

 

He values relationships and has a positive approach to help every child thrive. He believes that public education has the ability to change a child's life, help them to reach their true potential, learn who they are and how they can positively contribute to the world. 

 

Mr. Leivera grew up in the Riverside area and now lives in San Diego with his family. He loves animals and has four cats that his parents rescued. He enjoys reading mystery novels and spending as much time at the beach reading. He is the first member of his family to graduate from college and is a proud Bruin. 

 

Mr. Leivera is incredibly humbled to be selected as the next principal at CDM and will work tirelessly to ensure that students, staff and parents have a truly incredible year!
